The Heisman Trophy is awarded annually to the best player in college football. With the regular season coming to an end, there are three players that are sticking out. Here is a list of the three players who have a real chance at taking home the prestigious award.

Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

Derrick Henry is quite possibly the most physically gifted player in the whole country. At 6-3, 242 pounds, Henry is quite the load to try and take down. With Alabama’s only games being against Auburn and Florida in the SEC championship game, it is safe to say the Crimson Tide will be a likely College Football Playoff team. Everyone knows that the Heisman Trophy committee likes for the winner to be on a winning team. In 2015, he has rushed for 1526 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson

Deshaun Watson is the starting quarterback for the undefeated top ranked Clemson Tigers. He is quite possibly the most explosive player in the country. Not only can he hurt opposing teams with his arm, he can tuck the ball and run for big gains on the ground. Only a sophomore, Watson has passed for 2944 yards and 26 touchdowns with only ten interceptions. He has also rushed for 642 yards and six touchdowns.

Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma

Baker Mayfield came into this season as a walk-on quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners. He has led the Sooners to a 10-1 record and first place in the Big 12 conference. For the first time since Sam Bradford left, the Oklahoma Sooners are relevant and have a chance at making the College Football Playoff. In 2015, he has thrown for 3209 yards and 33 touchdowns to only five interceptions. He has also rushed for 343 yards and six touchdowns.
